Walk End Location: Ireland Park (located at the SE corner of 5 Eireann Quay aka the Canada Malting property).This section of my Poster Gallery covers German Rock Festival posters from 1967 to 1975. Walk Start Location: Ireland Park (located at the SE corner of 5 Eireann Quay aka the Canada Malting property).I will carry a highly visible project poster. This walk will include an overview of the dynamic new waterfront park starting construction on the property in Spring 2023 a discussion of the methods being used to restore the 100-year old iconic grain silos and a description of the arts and cultural centre being built on the property by the City’s non-profit partners at the Canada Ireland Foundation. At project completion in 2024, this collaborative city-building initiative will have will delivered restored heritage buildings, expanded parks and public realm, and new cultural programming spaces at the water’s edge. In late 2019, the City of Toronto and project partners broke ground on a six-phase, $50M revitalization of the historic Canada Malting property on Toronto’s waterfront.
